Sales Co-ordinator


Responsible to: Sales Office Manager

Main Objective: To help obtain maximum sales for the company by telephone, and to ensure that objectives and budgets are achieved, or surpassed, by a flexible approach to the company business.

Description of the position: It involves taking orders and queries from our customer base of 2,000+. There is NO cold calling involved, and full training will be given to the right individual. Applicants should be computer literate, with a good telephone manner, an outgoing personality and the ability to work as part of a very busy team.

Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Answering all incoming calls quickly and efficiently
  2. Maximising sales opportunities from incoming calls by “link selling”
  3. Helping to motivate additional sales by making outgoing, positive telephone calls to customers
  4. Promoting company products/special offers, by advising customers and explaining the benefits of the products.
  5. To maximise product knowledge by giving attention to, and reading, manufacturers’ literature and brochures
  6. Work alongside assigned Area Sales Manager to offer support and assistance plus improve efficiency
  7. Grow relationships with individual customers
  8. Processing customer orders, quotations and enquiries on computer to produce necessary documentation
  9. Ensuring accuracy and attention to detail is maintained to the satisfaction of customers and to minimise errors and the necessity of collections/credits
  10. Listening to customers and seeking selling opportunities to ensure maximum sales of the company
  11. Dealing with customers problems/difficulties politely and efficiently to ensure goodwill and good customer relationship
  12. Update company documentation system as and when required
  13. Complete individually assigned tasks as and when required
  14. Take part in promotional phone outs, ensure this is carried out effectively, using selling skills and marketing publications
  15. To undertake any other duties as requested by the management

Credit Controller


Responsible to: Accounts Supervisor

Description of the position: Experience preferred in a credit control role, but not essential, should be fully computer literate, particularly with regard to Excel spreadsheets. Our accounting/sales package is Exchequer, for which training will be given if necessary. This can be a highly pressured position, and candidates should be able to work under pressure and on their own initiative, be pro-active and flexible.

Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Data entry of receipts into accounts software package
  2. Chasing overdue accounts by telephone and letter
  3. Ensuring Customers accounts remain within their credit limit
  4. Investigating and following up reasons for non-payment or short payment of accounts
  5. Liaising with other departments, as to reasons for non-payment, etc
  6. Correspondence with customers relating to queries on their accounts
  7. Opening up of new trade accounts including taking up references
  8. Daily banking of customer receipts
  9. Other duties relating to credit control
  10. Listening to customers and seeking selling opportunities to ensure maximum sales of the company
  11. Carrying out other tasks as requested by the Management on a day to day basis
  12. Health & Safety. To ensure that all working areas are kept in a clean and safe condition by general good housekeeping and by adopting a clean and tidy attitude to the office environment, thus affording good health and safety conditions for the benefit of yourself and other staff members
  13. Complete individually assigned tasks as and when required
  14. Flexibility to perform other duties apart from main duties
