Founded in 1990, Claygate Distribution is one of the UK’s leading distributors of bathroom and plumbing products to the merchant trade. With a portfolio of over 40 of the industry’s leading brands, along with an own brand collection of designer items and an essentials range of affordable bathrooms products. After first establishing in Kent, brothers Mel and Andrew Streek relocated Claygate into more spacious premises in October 2008. Only a short distance from the original site, the spanking new warehouse and offices building signalled a new era for the company and its staff. With expansion fresh in mind, it meant that Claygate could go beyond its expectations and that is exactly what it has done.
Not stopping there, in October 2021, Claygate became a trust managed business. This allowed Mel and Andrew to step back and follow other interests outside of the bathroom industry, handing over the ownership and every day running to the existing management and staff. Offering partnership, opportunity and security to all its members and investing in the futures of over 100 employees.
What we have learnt over all these years, continues to make us what we are today, and we will continue to work together to create a successful business to benefit all of us.
